Senior DBA / Database Platform Engineer # Company Description ## We are supporting a Vaud-based organization in strengthening its IT team, in a context of modernizing and securing its information systems. In this framework, we are looking for a specialist capable of operating in a critical, hybrid, and technology-rich environment, at the crossroads of production, infrastructure, and application support. Job Description ## As a Senior DBA / Database Platform Engineer, you play a key role in the availability, performance, and security of data platforms. In this capacity, you will work on: • The operation and administration of databases in a production environment • Monitoring, maintenance, backups, and restorations • Performance optimization and incident management • Support to application and infrastructure teams • The production deployment of new applications • Participation in the technical evolutions of the data ecosystem You will evolve in a rich and varied environment including notably: • Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB • NoSQL technologies / data services: MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch • Systems: Windows Server, Linux, Unix • Collaborative and delivery tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence • Agile methodology in a structured environment Profile sought ## • Higher education in computer science (EPF / HES or equivalent) • Minimum 6 years of experience in database administration or data infrastructure • Solid experience in a production environment • Good mastery of Microsoft and Linux/Unix systems • Comfortable in hybrid environments (DB + systems) • Rigor, autonomy, and sense of service • Good communication and team spirit • Fluent French, good level of technical English Important information ### • Position based in Lausanne, residence in Switzerland mandatory • Teleworking possible up to 1 day per week after the trial period What this position offers ### • A stable and critical environment with real production challenges • A great technological variety (Relational DB + NoSQL + systems) • A transverse role between infrastructure and applications • An experienced and structured team • An ideal context for a profile wishing to combine technique and operational responsibility Please send your complete application by email with your up-to-date CV.
