Das Mittelschul- und Berufsbildungsamt is the competence and service center for vocational training, secondary schools, higher vocational education and continuing education in the Canton of Zürich. The Abteilung Mittelschulen manages all matters concerning secondary schools. To complement the team, we are looking for a permanent Research Associate (80-100%) starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility ###

Does your heart beat for educational topics? Are you looking for a responsible activity at the interface of administration and schools and do you possess strong communicative skills? In the Team Mittelschulen, you will engage in various educational topics, process financial and contractual matters, write statements as well as concepts and prepare decision-making bases for different committees. Your area of responsibility includes, in particular, the advice and supervision of schools in procurement law matters, the management of operational inquiries regarding the infrastructure of the canteens at the Mittelschulen, as well as the support of the actors in the admission process for the Maturitätsschulen. You are a central contact person for schools, politics and the public. In close cooperation with all contact persons, you help to steer and optimize various processes. In doing so, you act towards school management as a reliable and competent specialist who also maintains an overview and acts in a solution-oriented manner in challenging situations.

Your profile ###

You have a Master's degree from a university and bring professional experience in the education sector and/or in administration. Your interest in the Zürcher Bildungslandschaft enables you to quickly familiarize yourself with demanding issues. Thanks to your strong analytical and networked thinking, you quickly grasp complex relationships, work in a structured manner and with a high level of quality awareness. Your written and oral communication is stylistically confident, appropriate to the addressee and binding. You are a high-performing personality for whom good cooperation in a team is just as important as independent work. Experience in creating data-driven reports, confident handling of numbers and IT topics, as well as your interest in procurement law and infrastructural issues round off your profile.
