A key role in the heart of Valais hydropower operations: To strengthen the management of its hydropower plants, FMV is looking for a Operations Manager 80-100% immediately or by arrangement. In this function, you will work in the Asset Management area of the Production department. Your Mission Your task is to take over the operational management of the hydropower and photovoltaic plants assigned to you with a structured, reliable and long-term oriented approach. You coordinate the interfaces between internal and external stakeholders, participating companies, authorities and specialized service providers. You ensure the safety, maintenance, upkeep and availability of the infrastructures while simultaneously ensuring careful management of data, processes and operational issues. In this role, you contribute to representing the interests of the assigned plants in the commissions and committees of the participating companies. With your commitment, you contribute to strengthening the operational quality, the cooperation with regional partners and the security of supply with renewable electricity. You ensure reporting to the responsible bodies and actively support the strategic planning as well as the continuous improvement of the Asset Management area. Your Profile Higher education in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering or equivalent training, supplemented by a good sense for energy and infrastructural issues Proven experience in the maintenance, upkeep or operation of technical infrastructures, ideally in the energy environment or in the area of critical infrastructures Good understanding of the technical, operational and safety-relevant challenges in the operation of hydropower infrastructures Experience in leading technical projects and in coordinating external service providers Strong interest in hydropower operations, in environmental-related, regulatory and institutional issues as well as in cooperation with participating companies Clear and audience-appropriate communication with different stakeholders as well as good coordination, negotiation and interface skills Independent, responsible and structured personality who can handle several dossiers in parallel, set priorities and move in an interdisciplinary environment German or French native language with very good knowledge of the respective other language (level B2-C1) and good English skills Why work with us?
