What you can contribute

• Perform technical analyses and calculations to determine the potential risk of accumulation structures and their subjection to federal legislation
• Participate in the development of methods and tools for the analysis of structures
• Use and develop calculation models in Excel and possibly QGIS
• Assist in drafting decisions regarding the subjection of structures to the Law on Accumulation Structures (LOA)
• Provide general support to the activities of the Dam Monitoring section

What makes you unique

• Bachelor (in progress) from a university of applied sciences or university in a technical field (e.g., civil engineering, environment, hydraulics) or scientific field
• Interest in issues regarding the safety of structures and natural hazards
• Good Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, possibly VBA) as well as basic knowledge of QGIS (for DTM data processing and Python)
• Motivation to learn new tools (geometric analysis, geospatial data)
• Analytical mindset, rigor and autonomy
• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language

In a few words

Participate in a concrete engineering project aimed at evaluating whether certain protection structures present sufficient risk to be subject to federal legislation and thus contribute to the prevention of natural risks and the safety of populations.
