The gibb Berufsfachschule Bern is a cantonal educational institution in which approximately 7,000 young people are taught in more than 60 professions. In addition, we train approximately 1,000 working professionals through part-time vocational training at all levels of vocational continuing education.

The IT department operates secure, stable, and standardized services for learners, teachers, and employees. It is divided into the areas of Service Desk, Engineering, as well as Event Office and Digitalization, thereby supporting the teaching, vocational continuing education, and digitalization projects of the entire school.

During the four-year apprenticeship, you will receive training in the specialization of platform development in an interesting and demanding environment.

Your tasks

• You will learn to build, operate, and secure server, network, and cloud infrastructures, provide workstation devices, and automate processes
• The practical training in various areas of practice takes place over the four-year apprenticeship period
• You will deepen your knowledge and skills not only through exemplary learning on productive assignments, but also through active participation in daily business and ongoing projects

• You attend Sekundar- or Realschule with good performance
• Interacting with people gives you joy, you like to help others, and you enjoy solving technical problems
