Who are we?
Le Service archéologique de l'État de Fribourg (SAEF) identifies, inventories and censuses archaeological cultural property.
It accompanies the administrative procedure concerning remains located within an archaeological perimeter and implements excavations and, if necessary, measures to preserve the remains. It promotes the documentation produced in the form of publications. In order to raise awareness among various audiences regarding archaeological heritage, the Service organizes open houses, conferences and exhibitions and participates in training.
