Mason: 80-100% Zoologischer Garten Basel AG | Projects & Operations - Basel Your tasks With your commitment, you will be responsible in our masonry department for the execution of a variety of unconventional tasks in the customer masonry area as well as in general civil and traffic engineering. Exciting small projects, such as total renovations and the design of animal enclosures, round out your activity profile. Furthermore, you will make a significant contribution to ensuring that a variety of tasks - from machine-based logistics to pond and canal maintenance to participation in animal services - guarantee the smooth operation of the zoo. What you bring You have completed a vocational training (as a construction worker, civil engineer, or in another related profession) and have gained several years of professional experience. Practical knowledge in handling domestic or wild animals is an advantage, although your basic interest in working with wild animals is assumed. You are a team player, have good social skills, are resilient, and are willing to lend a hand wherever needed. Thanks to your quick grasp and interest in various fields, you will tackle challenging tasks and challenges with motivation and solve them independently. In-depth knowledge of traditional masonry and handling construction machinery (pneumatic loaders, excavators, etc.) is a significant advantage. You are proficient in German, both written and spoken, and have user knowledge of common MS Office programs. Sporadically planned weekend shifts require your flexibility.
