Senior Accountant – 100% | Genève

to take charge of the entire accounting of its activities and contribute to the management of their financial performance.

A true financial referent for the Swiss scope, you will be responsible for general accounting, taxation, treasury, as well as part of the management controlling. You will work in close collaboration with Management, Human Resources, and external partners.

Your responsibilities

General Accounting – 75%

• Ensure the complete maintenance of the accounting: customers, suppliers, banks, fixed assets, and various operations
• Prepare monthly and annual closings as well as balance sheets and profit and loss statements
• Prepare tax returns, notably VAT and corporate tax, and prepare periodic AFC audits
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure daily monitoring of treasury
• Prepare audit files and coordinate exchanges with external auditors
• Ensure the monitoring of factoring, collections, open items, and credit limits with the external partner
• Control payroll elements in collaboration with the HR Manager, validate DTAs and ensure reconciliations
• Provide operational back-up during absences, notably for payments and management of the Invoice mailbox

Management Controlling – 25%

• Produce monthly reporting and analyze the profitability and productivity of employees and the various entities
• Identify variances and formulate recommendations to Management
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget in collaboration with Management
• Monitor variances between budget and actuals and contribute to the analysis of financial performance

Your profile

• Higher education in accounting, finance or equivalent
• 6 to 10 years minimum experience in accounting, ideally acquired in a Swiss environment
• Excellent mastery of Swiss accounting and Swiss taxation
• Experience with closings, audits and VAT returns
• Experience in management controlling / financial analysis is a real asset
• Autonomous, rigorous and endowed with a good analytical spirit
• Ability to work operationally while having a global vision of financial issues
• Comfortable in an international environment and with different interlocutors
• Very good mastery of IT tools and ideally an accounting ERP
• Fluent French and professional English desired
