Team Leader Process Engineering / Head of Process Engineering Department / Head Process Engineering The HINE is strategically expanding and developing its process engineering. In this key role, you will take on both operational responsibility in projects and the structured development and leadership of the department. We work with a structured approach using Front-End-Loading (FEL) and utilize modern methods such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) to maximize efficiency and quality in our projects. To strengthen and strategically develop our process engineering, we are looking for you. You are an experienced process engineer at the senior level, taking on the technical and disciplinary leadership of the department and systematically developing it. At the same time, you work operationally on projects and take technical responsibility for process engineering content. You develop innovative process concepts independently, accompany projects until successful commissioning on site at the customer, and take on the technical and disciplinary leadership as well as the systematic development of our process engineering department. You report directly to the CTO. You bring suggestions for tools, standards, processes, and templates. Prioritization, approval, and direction are carried out by the CTO. Your tasks Project work and engineering (approx. 60–80 %) Design, planning, and optimization of process engineering plants with modern CAE tools (CADISON) Creation, structuring, and technical responsibility for process flow diagrams (PFD) as well as piping and instrumentation flow diagrams (R&I) Conducting energy and mass balance calculations Development and implementation of process concepts as well as cost estimates Specification of plant equipment and piping Conducting inventory and audits at customers on site Accompanying commissioning and creating as-built documentation Maintenance and updating of plant documentation Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistent and approvable planning results Leadership, development, and further development of the process engineering department (approx. 20–40 %) Technical and disciplinary leadership of the process engineering department Goal-oriented development of employees, including technical guidance, feedback, and support in building competence and responsibility Ensuring efficient use of department resources in agreement with the CTO and project managers Responsibility for the systematic development and scaling of the process engineering department Further development of methods, standards, processes, and templates, including concrete suggestions to the CTO for approval and implementation Establishing a consistent quality logic in process engineering, including review and approval mechanisms within the department Building reusable engineering modules, knowledge base, and best practices for efficient, reproducible project execution Your profile Technical qualifications, experiences, and skills Completed degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in the planning and realization of process engineering plants, demonstrably at the senior level In-depth knowledge in the development and structuring of process flow diagrams (PFD) as well as piping and instrumentation flow diagrams (R&I) Very good knowledge in handling common planning and CAE software tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, COMOS, AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D, CADISON, AVEVA) Extensive experience in specifying plant equipment and in the holistic understanding of process engineering systems Proven experience in technical leadership and in the further development of employees, ideally with initial disciplinary leadership experience Very good German and English language skills in word and writing Willingness for occasional business trips and customer visits Personal strengths Ability to combine operational excellence with leadership responsibility and structural thinking Clear, precise communication and confident appearance towards customers, employees, and internal interfaces High degree of personal responsibility, reliable prioritization, and structured working method High quality awareness with a consistent claim to consistent, error-free, and clearly structured planning results as well as the ability to actively ensure and enforce these Analytical thinking and pronounced solution orientation in complex issues Leadership attitude that enables performance, demands responsibility, and systematically develops employees Entrepreneurial thinking and genuine interest in building up and sustainably scaling the process engineering department Our offer Key role in the strategic development and further development of the process engineering department Direct collaboration with the CTO and involvement in the technical further development of HINE Hybrid role with a clear combination of operational project responsibility and leadership task Exciting and challenging projects in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment Structured working method with Front-End-Loading (FEL) and use of modern planning and engineering tools Scope for design
