The School of Engineering of the HES-SO Valais-Wallis, is putting up for competition, for its Institute of Industrial Systems, a position of: Scientific Collaborator HES (100%) for its activities related to the Smart Process Lab (https://spl.hevs.io) Your mission • Design and implementation of applied research and development (R&D) activities within the Smart Process Lab • Participation and active search for project calls • Realization of scientific documentation in connection with his activity • Support for the training of students • Participation in the development of relations with industrial and scientific environments in collaboration with the direction of the School of Engineering and specifically the institute to which it belongs Your profile • Bachelor or Master degree in the field of computer science or equivalent • Excellent programming skills (Python, C/C++, Rust) • Autonomy but good ability to work in a team and in connection with industrial partners • Native language French or German with good knowledge of the second language as well as English • Knowledge in the field of embedded systems is an asset • Knowledge in the field of data science is an asset Activity rate 100% Place of work Sion Entry into function 01.09.2026 or as soon as possible Professor Silvan Zahno, head of the Smart Process Lab, will provide you with all the information you need regarding the job description (e-mail: silvan.zahno(a)hevs.ch).
