The Polizeiinspektorat of the city of Thun is responsible for public safety and order. The area of responsibility of the Polizeiinspektorat includes various permit, coordination, and control tasks in the areas of trade, events, use of public ground and soil, market affairs, dog affairs, as well as parking permits and administrative fines. Additionally, the Wasserlabor and the Tierkörpersammelstelle belong to the Polizeiinspektorat.

We are looking for a committed personality within a 5-member team as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Clerk / Clerk Chancery Police Inspectorate (80 – 100 %)

Your tasks:

• Responsibility for dog affairs (dog taxes, registrations/deregistrations in Amicus, etc.)
• Responsible for the area of parking permit administration
• Collaboration in all work in the area of administrative fines
• Examination and administrative processing of hospitality applications of all kinds
• Collaboration in the processing of reports from the order service
• Creation of file notes and minutes
• Organization of meetings and inspections
• Assistance in accounting including independent invoicing of services and fees in Innosolv
• Telephone inquiries and customer reception at the counter for the entire service branch

You bring with you:

• Commercial basic training (EFZ) or comparable training
• Professional experience in a comparable area of responsibility, preferably in a municipal administration.
• Proficiency in written communication as well as very good oral and written expression in German
• Enjoyment of communication with various stakeholder groups even in difficult situations
• Confident and sovereign appearance as well as assertiveness and resilience in a function with high external impact
• Exact and independent way of working
• Good IT user knowledge
• Completed vocational trainer training is an advantage
