Compliance Officer - Sanctions

Do you want to take on a new challenge? Join the Compliance Department as a Compliance Officer within the Compliance Support and Sanctions service. You will have several missions and, in addition to topics related to sanctions, you will be exposed to a wide range of compliance activities concerning the financial security aspect. Your role will include:

• Sanctions:
• Conducting sanctions due diligence on clients and related parties during onboarding phases as well as during periodic or ad hoc reviews.
• Performing analyses on actual sanction cases flagged by Compliance Monitoring in the context of sanctions screening carried out on the client base and on our clients' transactional activity.
• Assessing potential exposure to sectoral sanctions, export controls, dual-use goods and sanctioned industries.
• Providing recommendations regarding the acceptance, rejection or escalation of the client relationship.
• Supporting and advising other compliance officers on topics related to sanctions.
• Regulatory monitoring of sanctions news impacting the bank and analysis of the impact on our client base, as well as analysis of new sanctions packages.
• Drafting and maintaining sanctions-related policies and procedures.
• Participating in the calibration and optimization of sanctions screening systems.
• Reporting:
• Contributing to the bank's monitoring of risk tolerance, risk analysis and key risk indicators.
• Supporting ad hoc reporting requests: special requests, audits, regulatory reviews, etc.
• Others:
• Providing targeted training on sanctions.
• Drafting internal notes and presentations.
• Support and advice to management.

Qualifications

• Expert in financial sanctions.
• Good knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws.
• Analytical and methodological approach.
• Very good writing and communication skills in French and English (other languages a plus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent mastery of PowerPoint.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage significant workloads.
• Strong team spirit appreciating working in a multicultural, dynamic, technological and international environment.

Profile

• Bachelor or Master in law or economics with an appetite for data analysis.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in the financial sector.
