Description
We are currently looking on behalf of one of our clients in Basel for a Senior Oracle DBA. This is a permanent on\-site position.
Your role:
Run and maintain the Oracle environment in production, contributing to incident handling and second\-level troubleshooting
Carry out change requests in accordance with the governance and operational procedures
Identify performance, capacity and cost\-efficiency improvements as part of the platform's life\-cycle management
Design and implement automation to reduce operational toil and increase reliability
Take an active role in migration projects and in the ongoing modernisation of the infrastructure
Conduct disaster\-recovery rehearsals and participate in the on\-call rotation
Your profile:
University\-level degree in IT, engineering or an equivalent technical background
A minimum of seven years' practical experience in database administration and engineering
Solid command of Oracle databases, complemented by working knowledge of PostgreSQL (required)
Familiarity with Ansible\-based automation is appreciated
Pragmatic, delivery\-oriented mindset with a genuine sense of ownership
Discretion, rigour and a high standard of personal accountability
Comfortable working in cross\-functional teams and connecting technical decisions to business outcomes
Fluent English is essential; working knowledge of German is a real advantage
