Itinerant Special Education Teacher Recognized as a competence center within the framework of the Law on Special Pedagogy, the CPHV promotes the inclusion of people with visual impairments in Romandie. It is part of the Fondation Asile des aveugles, founded in Lausanne in 1843, which includes the Hôpital ophtalmique Jules-Gonin in Lausanne, the social service and low vision rehabilitation, the vision sciences research center and the EMS Clair-Soleil in Ecublens, a medico-social establishment specially adapted for the visually impaired elderly. More than 670 employees mobilize every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnostic, treatment, and support services to people affected by vision impairment. In order to complete our team, we are looking for an Itinerant Special Education Teacher Your mission Guarantee and ensure the provision of adapted pedagogical means from 1H to 11H, with the support of a transcription service: enlargements, computer documents, or in braille. Encourage and promote the use of these means Work in close collaboration with classroom teachers Keep a logbook and prepare an annual report for each student Participate in the network involving professionals from regular schools and various specialists (occupational therapists, locomotion rehabilitators, activities of daily living and functional vision, ophthalmologists, etc.) Coaching and support for teachers Your assets Master's in special education (acquired or in progress); obtaining the Master's is mandatory for the practice of this profession. Initial training as a teacher (HEP), specialized educator (HES) or Master's in pedagogy or psychology, followed by complementary training leading to the special education diploma (recognized by the Conférence des directeurs de l'instruction publique – CDIP) while employed by the HEP Willingness to develop and maintain the specific professional knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of your duties through continuing education Proficiency with standard IT tools Sense of organization and flexibility, ability to work autonomously Sense of responsibility and ability to manage complex situations Enjoy collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds Professional ethics Native language: French Good knowledge of the compulsory schooling subjects We offer you A dynamic, rich, and varied working environment.
