Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control Join our Web-Fed Solutions team Within the Services & Performance Business Unit, we offer you the opportunity to join our Web-Fed Solutions External Technician Pool as a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control. This is a 100% permanent contract, based at our site in Mex (VD), headquarters and production center. This position is aimed at a professional passionate about complex industrial environments, capable of intervening autonomously on high-tech automated production lines. You will be required to travel internationally between 50% and 60% of your time, often on missions lasting several consecutive weeks. YOUR MISSION Perform the commissioning of automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally. Carry out retrofit, modernization, and improvement interventions on existing installations. Autonomously plan and organize commissioning activities on site. Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in automation, motion control, electricity, and industrial IT. Program, modify, and optimize automation systems under Siemens TIA Portal, Siemens S7. Commission and parameterize drive systems and synchronized axes. Perform troubleshooting interventions on client sites or remotely. Coordinate technical activities with client teams. Validate equipment performance and contribute to its final acceptance. Train maintenance and production teams. Ensure structured reporting to Project Managers and Technical Support. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our products through field experience feedback. YOUR PROFILE HES Engineer, ES Technician or equivalent training in automation, electrotechnics, or mechatronics. Excellent mastery of Siemens TIA Portal & Siemens S7. Good knowledge of drive systems, frequency converters, and axis synchronization. Proven experience in reading electrical diagrams, industrial troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical cabinets. Mastery of Windows environments and virtualization solutions. Good level of English (B2) for technical exchanges and client training. Excellent analytical skills and root cause research capabilities. Autonomous, organized, and results-oriented. Ability to work several weeks at a client site in an international environment. Ability to request internal support appropriately when necessary. Category B driver's license.
