The cantonal social welfare office fulfills the task of personal social assistance and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional social service Surselva is responsible for 15 municipalities with a catchment area of 22 000 people. Social counseling, addiction assistance and financial support We are looking for the Chur location immediately or by arrangement for a Social Worker ## The position is temporary until 30. June 2027. Your area of responsibility ### • Solution- and resource-oriented social counseling for individuals and families • Accessing social insurance benefits as well as economic social assistance • Counseling recognized and provisionally admitted refugees and foreigners regarding linguistic, professional and social integration • Cooperation with social authorities and specialized specialist centers • Other versatile, interesting and responsible activities This is what we wish from you ### • Completed training as a Social Worker BSc/FH or a degree in a comparable training • Joy in working with people from different social and/or cultural backgrounds • High counseling competence as well as sound specialist knowledge in social assistance law and in the social insurance sector • Sociable, resilient, team player, good communicative, organizational and administrative skills • Ideally good foreign language skills • Independent and solution-oriented working
