Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Today, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join us in Fribourg.

Your role:

Cloud and Microsoft 365 Administration

• Implement, administer, and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services according to business and operational requirements.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive, ensuring performance, availability, security, and user experience.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including identity synchronization (Entra Connect), conditional access, access control policies, and hybrid identity integration.
• Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, group policies, and access controls in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Monitor Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, proactively identifying and resolving performance, availability, and security issues. - Resolve issues related to authentication, email delivery, collaboration services, and identity access.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain secure configurations, identity protection, and access policies. Virtualization and VDI infrastructure
• Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, on-premises and in Azure.
• Manage and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V, including hosts, virtual machines, and resource utilization.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of virtual desktop and application delivery platforms.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure health, resolve issues, and optimize performance.

On-premises infrastructure and systems administration

• Administer and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure.
• Manage Active Directory, including users, groups, group policies, replication, and hybrid identity integration with Entra ID.
• Administer storage platforms, backup systems, and disaster recovery solutions. - Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure.
• Administer SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) for patch management, endpoint configuration, and application deployment.
• Support and troubleshoot infrastructure connectivity in collaboration with network teams.
• Participate in the maintenance and improvement of on-premises infrastructure reliability and performance.

Automation, monitoring, and infrastructure optimization

• Develop and maintain automation scripts with PowerShell to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
• Support infrastructure automation and configuration management initiatives. - Monitor infrastructure systems, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance.
• Resolve infrastructure issues on cloud, virtualization, identity, and server platforms.
• Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and technical solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements to strengthen the stability, performance, and operational efficiency of the infrastructure.

Support, operations, and collaboration

• Provide level 2 and 3 support for infrastructure services and enterprise platforms.
• Support incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, network, and application teams to maintain and improve infrastructure services.
• Provide technical advice and support to internal teams.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement initiatives. - Stay up to date with infrastructure technologies, tools, and best practices.

Your profile:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience as an IT infrastructure engineer, including 2 to 4 years as a senior infrastructure engineer.
• Proven experience in administering Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Solid experience in managing Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
• Experience in managing virtualization platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V. - Experience in Windows Server infrastructure administration.
• Experience in managing storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems. - Experience with SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Microsoft certifications such as: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect Associate or Expert (AZ-305) or Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102)
• VMware or virtualization certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Power Platform, automation tools, or DevOps practices
