Estimator Steel Construction (M/F)

To strengthen our team in the area of calculation and sales of the Steel Construction department (bridge structures, bridges, footbridges and high-rise buildings), we are looking for an Estimator Steel Construction (M/F).

Your main task is to analyze, calculate and offer demanding projects. In doing so, you will particularly undertake the following activities:

• Evaluation of projects in the acquisition phase in close cooperation with the management
• Creation and calculation of offers
• Development of innovative and tailor-made solutions
• Examination of optimization possibilities as well as development of variants
• Creation of tender documents for public tenders
• Execution of supplier inquiries in cooperation with the purchasing department
• Negotiations with customers

For this challenge, you distinguish yourself through your pronounced social skills and your strong communication skills. In this strategically important function at the interface between sales and project management, you always maintain an overview and consider all aspects of a project, such as technical implementation, material use, production hours and assembly.

You are able to analyze complex information, summarize it understandably and present it clearly and concisely in offer discussions with the management. Thanks to your positive attitude, your logical and critical thinking skills as well as your persuasiveness, you successfully represent your ideas and the interests of the company.

Professional requirements

• You are a specialist in steel construction and have experience in the field of engineering structures.
• You hold a degree as a civil engineer ETH/FH or an equivalent qualification.
• You are proficient in common IT applications, especially Excel.
• You have experience with 2D/3D design software (Tekla, BoCAD, SketchUp, Revit etc.).
• You communicate confidently in German and/or French. Italian language skills are an advantage.
