Additional information The activities of the Fruit Production in the Alpine Region research group are focused on the development of innovative and sustainable production and storage systems for fruits. The main research topics are (i) the creation of new varieties of apricots and pears, in order to improve their resistance to diseases and pests, the quality of their fruits and their productivity, (ii) the development of methods to combat pests and diseases, in order to reduce the use of pesticides and (iii) the determination of the factors influencing the quality of fruits before and after harvest, in order to reduce the impact of climate change.
