What you can achieve

• Carrying out work in periodic maintenance on the F/A-18 of the Swiss Air Force
• Carrying out modification and inspection orders on the aircraft
• Unplanned repairs on the F/A-18
• Participation in internal on-the-job training and aviation-relevant courses

What you bring with you

• Completed basic mechanical training (Automotive Specialist, Plant and Apparatus Builder, Polymechanic EFZ or similar specialty)
• Strong technical talent as well as interest in working in a military environment
• Good oral and written German and English skills (Level B2)
• Openness and flexibility to be introduced to and trained in job- and aviation-specific knowledge
• Reliable and clean way of working with a great sense of responsibility and high endurance
• Resilient, team-oriented and committed personality
• Swiss citizenship (due to the nature of the function)

About the division

In the AIR division at RUAG, we ensure the maintenance, repair and modernization of military aircraft, especially fighter jets – as an aircraft mechanic, you make a decisive contribution to the security and operational readiness of the F/A-18.
