Branch Manager / Niederlassungsleitung Zürich (m/w/d)

For our office in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced Branch Manager (m/f/d) who combines entrepreneurial thinking, strong sales skills, and excellent customer orientation with modern leadership. In this responsible position, you will lead and develop our location and its team while actively driving the further expansion of our business in the Zürich economic area. In doing so, you will personally look after demanding private and business customers and represent Degussa confidently to the outside world. Your versatile area of responsibility includes, in particular, the following activities:

Your tasks

• You take over the functional and disciplinary leadership of the employees at our branch, promote their individual development, and create a performance-oriented, positive working environment in which cooperation and mutual support are a matter of course.
• You ensure the smooth technical, organizational, and operational business operations of the branch and the consistent compliance with internal specifications, especially in connection with cash management, stocks, and inventories.
• You manage the branch based on relevant sales and performance indicators, analyze business development, and, together with your team, derive appropriate measures for the further development of the location.
• As a central interface of the branch, you work closely with Trading, Operations, Compliance, and the Management Board and ensure a reliable flow of information between the location and the central functions.
• You personally look after our existing customers, especially in the high-end private client and B2B sectors, and continuously expand these business relationships. At the same time, you actively acquire new customers and tap into new business potentials with wealthy private clients, companies, asset managers, private banks, and other financial institutions.
• You think entrepreneurially and develop ideas and strategies to acquire new customers and business potentials in Zürich and the region, and you represent Degussa at customer events, networking formats, and selected regional events in cooperation with the Management Board.
• You see yourself as an impulse provider for your team, your colleagues, and the Management Board, and you actively contribute your market knowledge and your ideas to the further development of our business.

What you should bring

• You have a successfully completed commercial, banking, or business administration training or a corresponding degree or a comparable qualification.
• You have several years of leadership experience as a site, branch, or office manager, ideally at a financial service provider, a bank, or a precious metals dealer.
• You have experience in looking after demanding private and business customers and know how to build and develop long-term relationships at eye level.
• You are characterized by strong entrepreneurial thinking and action and combine sales orientation with a good understanding of economic contexts and key figures.
• You have German language skills at native level as well as very good English skills. French skills and other languages are an advantage.
• You can demonstrate an impeccable reputation.
• A high degree of integrity and responsibility, as well as analytical, structured, and networked thinking skills, round off your profile.
