Subject Matter Expert Age and Care, 80%

The Solothurn Health Department ensures easy access to safe and high-quality health services in the canton. The Department of Age, Care and Addiction Support reviews and issues permits for activities as a person or institution in the long-term care and Spitex sectors, is responsible for the implementation of the care initiative, and is responsible for the cantonal coordination office for addiction support. For the Department of Age, Care & Addiction Support, we are looking for a Subject Matter Expert Age and Care, 80%, at the Solothurn location, starting on or after agreement.

Your Responsibility

• The licensing and supervision of social institutions in the areas of age, care, and addiction is your responsibility; you review the quality of service and ensure compliance with legal requirements according to the Social and Health Act.
• You advise older people with care and support needs as well as their relatives and support sponsors and home management with technical questions.
• You review complaints substantively and, in cooperation with the legal department, prepare the corresponding decrees.
• You engage in subject-specific projects, participate in the development, elaboration, and updating of concepts and documents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of workflows and processes.
• You represent the specialist department in committees and working groups and participate in conferences and further training at federal, cantonal, and municipal levels.

Your Profile

• You have a Bachelor or Master of Science in Nursing as well as several years of professional experience in the field of long-term care.
• You are familiar with the various professional groups as well as facilities in the healthcare system and have experience in working on projects together with interdisciplinary partners.
• You bring a pronounced interest in social, economic, and health policy issues.
• High social competence, a confident and convincing appearance, strong communication skills, as well as an analytical and scientific way of thinking characterize you.
• You act in a solution-oriented and flexible manner, show initiative, and are willing to contribute in different work areas.
