Who we are The Kantonale Jugendanwaltschaft is part of the Staatsanwaltschaft and is responsible for the enforcement of the state's criminal claims against young people. Within the canton, the Jugendanwaltschaft has four regional offices. The Kantonale Jugendanwaltschaft conducts the preliminary proceedings, prosecutes offenses within the framework of investigations, issues final decrees and penal orders, files indictments if necessary, and represents this indictment in court. The Jugendanwaltschaft is also responsible for the enforcement of imposed juvenile criminal penalties and protective measures, as well as for subsequent decisions.
