What you can contribute

• Help with the planning and monitoring of military operations, engagements and support services while taking charge of assigned areas
• Create, consolidate and develop command products throughout the staff command process, manage and update the command and information systems used
• Elaborate, coordinate and regularly update the staff service regulations for the group concerned (Joint Operational Planning Group)
• Participate in the drafting of situation reports, briefings, orders and decision bases in coordination with internal and external partners
• Monitor development projects (command instruments, processes and systems), represent the interests of the army command service within working groups and specialized committees

What makes you unique

• University or university of applied sciences Bachelor's degree, higher technical training or business management training with several years of professional experience relevant to the position
• Solid experience as a staff officer (rank of major at minimum)
• Experience (e.g. management) related to demanding projects
• Excellent analytical, conceptual and organizational skills, ability to adapt complex content to the target audience while demonstrating precision
• High digital proficiency, very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and military command and information systems, good knowledge of a second official language and B2 level in English

Operations Command (cdmt Op) is responsible for all operations and all military engagements of the Swiss Army. The cdmt Op includes in particular the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command as well as the Military Police. About 40 % of the approximately 2500 employees are employed in civilian roles, from engineers to analysts to aircraft mechanics.

The Swiss Army employs more than 9000 employees in four military professions and approximately 200 civilian professions, across 110 sites throughout Switzerland. It also ensures succession by training apprentices in more than 30 trades.
