In addition, the NDB procures security-policy-relevant information and evaluates it. This provides decisive contributions to the comprehensive assessment of the threat situation. At the federal level, the NDB primarily serves the Federal Council, the departments, and the military leadership with its products. It also supports the cantons in maintaining internal security and the law enforcement agencies at the federal level.
