It is responsible for processing the pedagogical, didactic, organizational, and personnel administrative matters of the Volksschule with a view to optimal support, coordination, and further development of the Volksschule offerings. Educational statistics are part of the staff office. For the staff office, we are looking for a Research Associate, 70% at the Solothurn location, as of or by agreement. Your responsibility You realize the collection of data for the educational statistics of the Canton Solothurn for the Volksschulen as well as the vocational, middle, and higher technical schools. Your function includes the analysis of the data and its publication in suitable form. Occasionally, you answer questions from the specialist departments based on data. You ensure the cooperation with the Bundesamt für Statistik on the one hand and the schools on the other, and provide information on the educational statistics of the Canton Solothurn. You represent the Canton in intercantonal and national committees. The substantive and methodological further development of the educational statistics is a task that you drive forward with commitment and individual responsibility. Your profile You have an academic degree in the field of social sciences or educational sciences. You bring very good statistical knowledge and familiarity with statistical analysis software (SPSS is used). You have experience in conducting surveys and demonstrate scientific competence. Ideally, you are familiar with the Swiss or Solothurn educational landscape and are interested in educational policy issues.
