Strengthen our engineering team as: Design Engineer - High Voltage Test Systems (m/f/d) You can expect a diverse, technically very interesting field of activity with the following focuses: After your introduction, you will be responsible for the design and development of test systems/devices in the field of high voltage technology. In this interesting environment, you will be jointly responsible for the design, the creation of 3D models, manufacturing documents, as well as for the technical documentation of our new high voltage test system and measuring instrument generation and will actively participate in the further development of our product lines. You will work in the project team from definition to production readiness. What we offer: A challenging and future-oriented working environment in an innovative Swiss company with a global customer portfolio Independent work in a technically demanding environment Continuous professional and personal development Very attractive location in the Basel region with high leisure value Tasks: Design and development of mechanical assemblies, complete systems for high voltage test installations Creation of 3D models, drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documents using modern CAD/PDM systems (e.g., Inventor, Vault) Technical design and dimensioning of components taking into account electrical, mechanical, and thermal requirements Independent performance of strength and service life calculations (analytical and/or FEM), including static and dynamic structural analyses according to valid standards and guidelines (e.g., FKM) Participation in the further development and standardization of existing product lines as well as the maintenance of existing products Creation of bills of materials in the ERP system (SAP), maintenance and updating of technical documents Creation of assembly instructions, product documentation, and technical specifications Close cooperation with the departments of electrical engineering, production, purchasing, service and quality assurance, as well as logistics Support during assembly and commissioning as well as technical clarifications in the after-sales area Close cooperation with our engineering team in India What you bring: Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable training (e.g., technician with a focus on design) Several years of professional experience in plant or special machine construction, ideally in the high voltage or test equipment environment Sound knowledge in handling 3D CAD systems (ideally Inventor) and PDM systems (ideally Vault) Good knowledge of materials science and manufacturing technology is required Sound experience in handling ERP systems, ideally with SAP, would be advantageous Structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working as well as strong teamwork and cooperation skills Good communication skills in both German and English round off your profile Have we aroused your interest?
