Database Administrator PostgreSQL (f/m/d) # Be your best with Bechtle ## On behalf of our client based in Lausanne, we are looking for a PostgreSQL DBA (f/m/d) responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of PostgreSQL databases, while supporting internal teams in system information evolution projects. Your mission #### • Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments in production. • Implement and manage backup, restore, and access management devices in compliance with security and compliance requirements. • Monitor performance, analyze incidents, and optimize databases and queries to ensure application stability and responsiveness. • Manage replication, high availability, and business continuity mechanisms within the framework of PCA/PRA devices. • Support development teams and project managers on data modeling, architecture choices, and best practices for operation. Your profile ## • Higher education in IT, such as Federal Certificate, HES, University, EPFL, or equivalent. • Proven experience in PostgreSQL administration in critical production environments, with a good level of autonomy in operation and troubleshooting. • Advanced mastery of PostgreSQL, particularly on architecture, replication, partitioning, and performance optimization topics. • Good knowledge of Linux environments, particularly Red Hat or Rocky Linux, as well as automation tools such as Bash, Ansible, or Python. • Knowledge of another DBMS such as Oracle or MS SQL Server is an asset. • Rigor, analytical spirit, service-oriented, ability to work in a team, and collaborate with various technical stakeholders.
