REHAB Basel, Clinic for Neurorehabilitation and Paraplegiology, treats and rehabilitates patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and related clinical pictures following accident or illness.

We support the people entrusted to us on their way to the greatest possible independence and an optimal quality of life. To this end, we use a wide spectrum of therapy methods in an exceptionally designed clinic building. We treat in the area of initial as well as follow-up rehabilitation through to social and vocational integration.

For the paraplegiology area, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist BSc. 90-100% for a fixed term of one year (with option for permanent employment) starting October 1, 2026, or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility ###

• Assessment of the senso-motoric, cognitive, and affective capabilities of the patients and their impact on daily activities and participation
• Planning, implementation, and evaluation of individual therapy
• Clarification, adjustment, and organization of wheelchairs, seat cushions, sitting orthoses, and splints
• Assessment, counseling, adjustment, and production of aids for all areas of daily life
• Ensuring therapy quality through participation in interprofessional cooperation of specialist groups and team supervision
• Therapy documentation, assessment recording, progress (incl. video documentation), assessments, applications and justification for aids to insurance companies, discharge reports
• Instruction and counseling of relatives/caregivers

Your profile ###

• Training as a Dipl. Occupational Therapist FH/HF/BSc
• Interest in neurotherapeutic concepts and robotics
• MS Office skills
• Good knowledge of French, ideally also in Italian
• High social competence
• Independence and sense of responsibility
• Loyalty and discretion
• Interest and willingness for interprofessional cooperation
