Electronics Engineer / Electronics Engineer Mission In collaboration with the researchers, collaborators, and other members of the electronics department of the Swiss Plasma Center (SPC) of EPFL, you will participate in the development and maintenance of highly specialized scientific measurement devices, intended for physics experiments of the SPC and the faculty of geoscience and environment of the Université de Lausanne (UNIL) Main tasks and responsibilities Note: Tasks will be performed both for the experiments of the SPC and its Tokamak as well as for the faculty of geoscience and environment of the UNIL and in particular for the IMS 1280 ion probe • Development of electronic command and control circuits • Design of measurement electronics • Development of AC/DC power supplies • Creation of control interfaces for users • Commissioning and monitoring of developments • Assembly and testing of prototypes • Maintenance of existing electronic systems • Technical support and advice to experimenters Profile • You hold a degree in electronics engineering from a HES, EPFL or equivalent. • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the maintenance and design of electronic systems (command, measurement, power supplies) • You master VHDL and micro-controller programming • You have skills in analog electronics • You master common laboratory devices (oscilloscopes, soldering station...) • You communicate easily, in French and English, within a center composed of students, technicians, engineers, and physicists • You find it easy to work in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment • You are passionate about the development of systems intended for international research projects at the cutting edge of technology, with external collaborations • You have an open, flexible, and creative personality that allows you to easily acquire new skills We offer • Excellent working conditions in an international academic and research environment • The opportunity to participate in the development of world-renowned scientific experiments • Continuing education opportunities. • Activity in a dynamic and multicultural research environment • Varied work on unique technical installations in Switzerland • A modern and stimulating working environment, based on the EPFL and UNIL campus in Lausanne • A respectful, inclusive workspace and equal opportunity for all • Flexible working models • Childcare structures on campus Information • Start date: To be agreed • Min occupancy rate: 80% • Max occupancy rate: 100% • Contract type: Fixed-term contract • Duration: One-year contract, renewable, minimum 3 years desired Reference: For any further information, please contact Ms. Eve Carletti, by email at the address Write an email
