Der Burgerspittel is the elderly care institution of the Burgergemeinde Bern. At the locations «Viererfeld» and «Bahnhofplatz», der Burgerspittel offers the appropriate form of living in a well-maintained environment for around 190 elderly people. The offering is aimed at the entire population – membership in the Burgergemeinde is not a requirement. Around 200 employees are engaged with great warmth and ensure a high quality of life for the residents through professional services in nursing, care, hotel services, administration, and daily activities.
