Infrastructure System Engineer - 3-year mission - 100%

Your role

As an Infrastructure System Engineer, you ensure the maintenance, administration, and evolution of the critical infrastructures of the blue light center, located at the premises of the Cantonal Police of Fribourg.

You guarantee the security, availability, and reliability of server systems as well as associated services. You actively participate in maintaining operations and contribute to infrastructure modernization projects in a demanding environment where service continuity is essential.

You will evolve within a critical environment with a high societal impact, where the reliability of IT infrastructures contributes directly to the proper functioning of emergency services. This mission offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies while participating in the modernization of infrastructures essential to public safety.

Your mission

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring the administration, operation, and maintenance of infrastructures.
• Guaranteeing the availability, performance, and security of production systems.
• Administering Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.
• Managing and maintaining infrastructure services such as Active Directory, PostgreSQL, Graylog, and associated tools.
• Participating in platform supervision and the handling of level 2 and 3 incidents.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of evolution, modernization, and optimization projects for infrastructures.
• Participating in containerization and orchestration activities based on OpenShift.
• Collaborating with different technical teams to guarantee the quality of services delivered.
• Documenting technical solutions and procedures during their implementation.
• Participating, as needed, in the 24/7 IT on-call rotation (approximately one week every seven weeks), with the obligation to be able to intervene within a maximum of 30 minutes.

Your profile

• Higher education in computer science (HES, University, EPF, federal diploma, federal certificate, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in the administration and operation of critical system environments.
• Excellent mastery of Microsoft Windows environments (clients and servers).
• Solid experience in the administration of production solutions such as Active Directory, Graylog, and associated services.
• Very good knowledge of server architectures, networks, and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent mastery of PostgreSQL and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Proven experience in containerization and management of OpenShift platforms.
• Experience in an environment related to emergency services or "blue light" type organizations constitutes a major asset.
• Ability to occasionally lead technical projects and actively contribute to their realization.
