For our Aarberg location, we are looking for a dedicated social worker. As part of the interprofessional treatment team, you will advise patients and relatives on questions regarding hospital discharge, social insurance law entitlements, and the social consequences of health impairments. You will also provide support with financial issues, access material resources, and mediate with specialized specialist centers if necessary.*

What awaits you ##

• Counseling and support for patients and relatives during the hospital stay, as well as planning and coordination of discharge and aftercare solutions
• Clarification of social insurance law entitlements (e.g., accident insurance, IV, supplementary benefits)
• Cooperation and case-related coordination with external authorities, other healthcare institutions, and specialized counseling centers
• Interprofessional cooperation with the treatment teams as well as advising the clinics on social work issues
• Main workplace Aarberg with regular assignments in the university setting at Inselspital

What you bring with you ##

• Completed studies in Social Work (BSc/FH)
• Professional experience, ideally in healthcare, social assistance, or adult protection
• Knowledge of the Swiss social insurance system
• Ability to maintain an overview in the dynamic hospital everyday life
• Very good German skills as well as ideally good French skills (further foreign language skills desirable)
• Enjoyment of working in an interdisciplinary treatment team
