What you can contribute

• Substitute for the Head of Commissariat regarding personnel, organization, and specific tasks
• Plan and direct undercover measures during criminal police and public prosecutor investigations
• Assume the instruction, guidance, supervision, and safety of undercover agents
• Transcribe verbal reports provided by the latter, ensure impeccable file maintenance, and continuously and exhaustively inform the public prosecutor of the progress of interventions
• Coordinate the intervention of undercover agents in collaboration with Swiss and foreign partner authorities
• Perform on-call duty and work according to irregular hours, including weekends

What makes you unique

• Police certificate or equivalent training with several years of experience in criminal police, leadership experience being an asset
• Several years of proven experience and expertise as a senior manager in the field of undercover measures
• Taste for teamwork, sense of commitment, communication and negotiation, assertiveness, willingness to assume a large workload, and a multidisciplinary mindset
• Sharp analytical mind and high writing proficiency
• Very good knowledge of a second official language and English

The Federal Criminal Police of fedpol investigates criminal proceedings opened by the Confederation against major crime, such as terrorism, organized crime, human trafficking, cybercrime, and economic crime. It analyzes criminal phenomena falling under federal jurisdiction and supports cantons and foreign authorities in their criminal and judicial police tasks.
The Special Operational Engagements Division provides operational support to investigations. It provides specialized services to fedpol and its national and international partners: undercover investigations and source management, witness protection measures, arrests and interventions in cases of increased danger, targeted searches, observations, and technical intelligence and surveillance measures
