Our cafeteria at Campus Buchs is a meeting point, place of encounter, and culinary contact point for students, employees, and guests. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for you as a Team Leader Cafeteria (80%) for our location in Buchs SG as of 1 November 2026. For the leadership of our cafeteria team, we desire an engaged personality with a heart for gastronomy, joy in leading people, and the ambition to offer our guests a positive experience daily. ### Your tasks • Technical and personnel leadership of the cafeteria team as well as promoting appreciative cooperation • Active participation in daily business • Planning, organizing, and further developing an attractive and contemporary catering range • Responsibility for purchasing, procurement, as well as inventory management • Planning and conducting caterings and apéros • Ensuring compliance with quality, hygiene, safety, and environmental standards • Creating duty and deployment schedules as well as guaranteeing smooth operational processes • Monitoring budgets, costs, and settlements as well as participating in annual planning • Implementing marketing and sales promotion measures as well as further developing offers and services • Maintaining cooperation with internal and external stakeholders Your qualification • Completed training in the gastronomy sector, ideally with experience in production, catering, or event gastronomy • Several years of professional experience in gastronomy • Several years of leadership experience as well as joy in motivating and further developing employees • Strong host mentality as well as high service and customer orientation • Organizational skills as well as an independent and structured way of working • Networked and entrepreneurial thinking as well as the ability to maintain an overview even in demanding situations • Very good German skills • Good user knowledge of common MS Office programs Your benefits with us Questions regarding the application process Sabrina Sem HR Business Partner sabrina.sem@ost.ch About the OST The OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule is an intercantonal and interstate university of applied sciences with locations in Buchs, Rapperswil-Jona, and St.Gallen.
