Specialist in seismic safety and water protection Berne, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-100% What you can contribute Provide specialized advisory services regarding seismic safety for construction, transformation, and renovation projects in Switzerland or abroad Advise the OFCL in the context of planning and implementing measures related to water supply and wastewater disposal across all its sites Prepare specialized inventories of seismic prevention measures applicable to the Confederation's civil buildings as well as federal hydraulic engineering infrastructures, and continuously update them in light of new knowledge Represent, in collaboration with other specialized services, the interests of the OFCL in the development processes of seismic prevention for Confederation buildings Monitor developments in the field of rainwater management and formulate recommendations in this regard for their implementation in OFCL buildings What makes you unique Recognized degree in civil engineering or equivalent training in another specialized field of construction; continuing education in the field of seismic safety of existing buildings and new constructions, and specialist training in real estate wastewater disposal or willingness to train in these areas Proven experience in the field of seismic safety or water protection Good analytical and synthesis skills, and the ability to handle complex issues Availability, motivation, commitment, autonomy, and sense of responsibility Active knowledge of a second official language and English In a few words In your capacity as a specialist in civil engineering issues, you will be responsible for the seismic safety of construction projects and approximately 2500 buildings in Switzerland and abroad. Furthermore, you will advise your colleagues in the context of planning and operating water supply and sanitation infrastructures at OFCL sites.
