As a Senior Specialist in Applied Mathematics & Digital Biology at Nestlé Research, your mission is to apply advanced mathematical modeling, data science, scientific artificial intelligence, and digital biology to transform complex health, nutrition, clinical, and biological data into predictive, interpretable, and experimentally actionable insights. You will make a difference by collaborating closely with scientists, data scientists, computational biologists, clinical and translational researchers, nutrition experts, digital teams, and external scientific or technological partners. How you will have an impact as a Senior Specialist in Applied Mathematics & Digital Biology • Lead approaches in applied mathematics and digital biology that advance predictive and mechanistic research in health and nutrition. • Develop advanced mathematical, statistical, and computational models that strengthen scientific decision-making across research programs. • Translate complex biological, clinical, nutritional, microbiome, and omics data into clear insights supporting discovery, validation, and innovation. • Build AI-assisted analytical workflows that help project teams move from descriptive analysis to predictive and decision-ready science. • Guide cross-functional teams in using robust models, reproducible workflows, and actionable recommendations to accelerate health-beneficial innovation. • Lead and strengthen future-ready digital biology capabilities via scalable models, workflows, scientific frameworks, and strategic partnerships that accelerate innovation and strengthen Nestlé's leadership in digital biology. What will make you successful • Bring solid expertise in mathematical modeling, statistical learning, machine learning, causal inference, optimization, predictive modeling, and mechanistic modeling. • Apply quantitative methods to complex health, nutrition, biology, clinical, microbiome, omics, or experimental datasets. • Leverage digital biology approaches (including digital twins, scientific virtual cells, agentic AI, and foundation models) to accelerate discovery and innovation. • Collaborate with research, data science, clinical, nutrition, digital, and experimental teams while communicating complex models in a clear and engaging manner. • Communicate fluently in English. • Bring collaboration, innovative thinking, bold questioning, respect, and a positive wellness-oriented mindset.
