Head of Residential Department, Member of the Management Board (80-100%)

Affordable living space and quality of life for 75 years! As Head of Department and Member of the Management Board, you will represent one of the largest providers of non-profit senior housing in Switzerland. The Stiftung Alterswohnungen der Stadt Zürich (SAW) operates 36 settlements with over 2000 affordable apartments for people aged 60 and above. By 2035, the foundation plans to increase its stock by 1-000 apartments. In this context, it has decided on organizational changes, including the creation of new business areas and departments, measures to professionalize and increase efficiency, as well as digitization projects. For the newly created Residential Department, we are looking for a communicative and experienced person as Head of Residential Department, Member of the Management Board (80-100%) on behalf of the management. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY You will be responsible for the organizational unit "Residential" with around 60 employees, which consists of three departments. Together with your own assistant and the three department heads, you will give your department the necessary finesse over the coming years, as well as your personal touch. A focus will be on commercial and technical management. With the Social Department, you will optimally combine social culture, settlement life, and social services with management. With your expertise in real estate management, you will analyze, evaluate, or create new standards and processes. As a member of the management board, you will actively contribute to the strategic and organizational development of the overall organization. YOUR PROFILE For this demanding function, we are looking for a leadership personality with great passion and extensive experience in real estate management. Ideally, you are familiar with senior housing, non-profit housing construction, and/or housing promotion, or come from a building cooperative. You have a lot of experience in building, rebuilding, or setting up structures and processes and are used to leading larger units. It would be an advantage if you have already supported, driven, or defined concepts for the implementation of digitization projects. You have a higher education in the field of real estate management, facility management, or a comparable direction, as well as experience in dealing with social, housing, and living space-related issues.
