Service Engineer (m/f/d)

Introduction

For an internationally active company in mechanical and plant engineering for innovative packaging solutions, we are looking for a Service Engineer (m/f/d) for worldwide deployment. The focus of the position is on the technical commissioning, maintenance, and support of high-tech systems, as well as close cooperation with customers domestically and abroad. The company is part of a globally positioned corporate group and stands for high-quality machines, precise manufacturing, and a high technical standard. In this role, you will work at the interface between assembly, electrical engineering, service, and customer support. The place of work is at a production site in Switzerland; additionally, the activity includes regular international travel with assignments at the customer's site. We are looking for a technically skilled personality who combines technical understanding, personal responsibility, and customer orientation.

Tasks

• You undertake the electromechanical assembly as well as the precise electrical wiring of high-tech systems in the factory.
• You install and maintain machines professionally and work carefully and technically accurately.
• You accompany test runs and factory acceptances in close cooperation with customers and internal interfaces.
• You commission systems worldwide at the customer's site and accompany them until the final acceptance on site.
• You train customer personnel and convey the safe handling of the systems in daily operation.
• You are prepared to spend around 50 percent of your working time abroad, in assignments of one to a maximum of five weeks.

Profile

• You have completed mechanical training, for example as a Polymechaniker, or a comparable qualification.
• Ideally, you bring electrotechnical knowledge and thus complement your technical profile.
• You work analytically, goal-oriented, and find suitable solutions even for complex technical tasks.
• You have a very good command of English in spoken and written form and communicate confidently in an international environment.
• You are characterized by customer orientation, sense of responsibility, and organizational skill.
• You see international travel as a welcome variety and professional challenge.
