What you can achieve

As a member of the Rotor Manufacturing department at the GE Vernova production site in Birr, you will actively contribute as a Turbine Assembly Fitter to support the department in production and demonstrate your initiative.

Job Description #

Your tasks

• Filing and locksmithing of turbine rotors
• Assembling and disassembling gas and steam turbine blades
• Fitting radial seal strips on gas and steam turbines
• Assembling and disassembling auxiliary shafts and turbine components
• Shrink-fitting gears and pinions on gas and steam turbines
• Welding gas and steam turbine end pieces

What you should bring (basic qualifications)

• Completed vocational training in the mechanical field, ideally in subtractive manufacturing, e.g., polymechanic specializing in assembly
• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings and documents
• Good technical understanding as well as manual dexterity
• Good German language skills in speaking and writing; as well as good basic knowledge of English
• Basic PC skills
