Acute ward S2 with treatment focus on psychosis

The acute ward S2 addresses people in exceptional psychiatric situations who are dependent on immediate help. We offer these people professional support. We provide help in the acute phase. This includes psychiatric emergency care with careful diagnostics, appropriate treatment, and rapid clarification of the social situation. The goals of treatment are the reconstruction of everyday skills, the development of possible coping strategies, and the stabilization of self-esteem. Corresponding to the treatment focus, the ward offers various specific therapies and interventions (voice interview, IPT, etc.). Within the framework of the Model Recovery, a peer employee is also an integral part of the treatment team. The ward is usually managed openly and implements the Safewards model. We are pleased if you also contribute to this with your ideas.

Your tasks

Flexibility and enjoyment of variety are central points. Because that is exactly what working in acute psychiatry means. If this applies to you, here are some of the most important tasks:

• Individual nursing and care of patients at night
• Leading crisis conversations and reports
• Coordination and planning of treatment with the responsible doctors and therapists
• For better integration into the team and to ensure processes, it may be that part of the induction is planned during the day shift

Your profile

Professional competence, service orientation, and a lot of humor are the most important qualities that you must bring. With these qualities, we achieve the best treatment results for our patients and the team is happy that you will become a part of them. Should you bring experience in nursing, but not in the field of psychiatry, entry is still possible.
