The core tasks include monitoring serial crime with the aim of identifying series as early as possible in order to proactively disrupt or terminate them with police measures. This also includes recognizing unknown perpetrators on video surveillance images. Important fields of activity of the service also include processing requests for information from home and abroad and operating an intercantonally used analysis tool.
