Manager Site Operations Planning

Leadership & Organization

• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the API and packaging planning team St. Gallen, as well as matrix leadership of the Tier 1 structure CMO Procurement/Release Management
• Promotion of a performance-oriented, collaborative, and continuously learning team culture.
• Coaching, further development, and succession planning of employees.
• Ensuring clear responsibilities, standards, and ways of working.
• Transformation: Merging of processes and systems between Behring and Vifor
• COS: Leadership of Tier 1 structures Site Planning and CMO Procurement

Planning & Supply Coordination

• Responsibility for medium- and short-term capacity, production, and packaging planning (horizon: 0-3 years)
• Ensuring stable and realistic supply planning, taking into account capacities, material availability, and customer demand.
• Coordination of supply risks, bottlenecks, and escalations.
• Coordination with Production, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, Technical Operations, and Global Planning.
• Ensuring timely supply to internal and external customers.
• Coordination and monitoring of batch releases for intermediate and finished products at the St. Gallen site as well as at external contract manufacturers (CMOs) to ensure timely market supply.
• Proactive communication of supply risks, release delays, and supply bottlenecks to relevant internal and external stakeholders, as well as initiation and monitoring of appropriate countermeasures

S&OP / IBP

• Active participation in IBP and S&OP processes.
• Co-responsibility for SRM St. Gallen
• Creation of scenarios and decision bases for management.
• Monitoring of relevant supply chain KPIs and derivation of measures.

Continuous Improvement

• Identification and implementation of optimization and digitalization initiatives.
• Harmonization and standardization of planning processes including planning systems
• Promotion of data-based decisions and Operational Excellence.
• Support for the further development of planning tools and systems.

Stakeholder Management

• Central interface between Site Planning, Site Procurement, Operations, Global Planning, and other supply chain functions.
• Representation of the site's interests in cross-functional projects and workshops.
• Transparent communication of risks, opportunities, and planning assumptions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable field; Master/MBA an advantage.
• APICS CPIM certification desirable.
• Proven ability to proactively manage planning deviations, set priorities, and successfully lead teams through changing business requirements.
• Convincing leadership personality with the ability to develop employees, drive change, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning in a regulated industry (ideally pharma).
• Very good knowledge of Kinaxis and SAP
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Analytical, conceptual, and strategic skills with experience in scenario modeling, capacity and supply risk analysis, as well as the derivation of well-founded decisions to ensure a resilient and high-performing supply chain.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Strong result orientation with a focus on achieving sustainable improvements in service level, inventory, productivity, and planning efficiency.
