Head of Finance Department & Member of the Management Board, Deputy Director (80-100%)

Affordable housing and quality of life for 75 years! As the person responsible for the finance department and as a member of the management board & deputy director, you will represent one of the largest providers of non-profit senior housing in Switzerland. The Stiftung Alterswohnungen der Stadt Zürich (SAW) operates 36 settlements with over 2000 affordable apartments for people aged 60 and above. By 2035, the foundation plans to increase its stock by 1-000 apartments. In this context, it has decided on organizational changes, including the creation of new business areas and departments, measures to professionalize and increase efficiency, as well as digitization projects. For these challenges, we are looking for a communicative and experienced person as Head of Finance Department & Member of the Management Board, Deputy Director (80-100%) on behalf of the management. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY You will lead the employees assigned to the finance department in a technical and personal capacity and be responsible for the strategic and operational management of accounting, controlling, and risk management. In doing so, you will ensure sustainable financial management of the organization and continuously develop the corresponding management and controlling instruments. Your area of responsibility includes financial planning, budgeting, liquidity management, financing planning, as well as the preparation of annual financial statements and financial reports. You will ensure an effective internal control system (ICS), professional insurance management, and accompany strategic projects, investment projects, and organizational development processes from a financial perspective. As a strategic and advisory counterpart to the management board and the foundation board, you will support them with well-founded analyses and decision-making bases, promote cross-departmental cooperation, and represent the organization vis-à-vis auditing firms, financial institutions, authorities, and other stakeholders. Additionally, you will work as the lead in the finance committee of the foundation board and engage in external bodies and expert groups. YOUR PROFILE For this demanding function, we are looking for a leadership personality with a great passion for financial topics and comprehensive experience in the finance sector. You have a completed university or college degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, you have several years of management experience at the management level and in-depth knowledge of accounting, controlling, financial planning, and risk and resource management. You are familiar with the specific characteristics and regulatory framework conditions of non-profit housing construction and ideally have knowledge or practical experience in the real estate industry or real estate management. In addition, you have in-depth practical experience in the development and application of financial management instruments and in accompanying change and growth processes. You communicate skillfully at all levels and have a pronounced sense of different people and situations.
