We will achieve this together Within the Energy Department Instrument Specialist - Wastewater Treatment We will achieve this together Within the Energy and Industrial Ecology Department, the Wastewater (WW) activity has the mission of transporting, treating the wastewater of the canton and the cross-border region using treatment plants and then evacuating it into the natural environment. The WW activity ensures this role in compliance with federal and cantonal water laws and on the basis of cantonal planning for wastewater disposal. If our core business will always remain water treatment, our current and future challenges are significant and essential to achieving ambitious environmental and sustainable development goals (treatment of micropollutants, production of natural biogas, solar PV production, thermal valorization of wastewater and sludge, reduction of CO2 emissions). In addition, there are technological challenges that we must overcome to improve our operating methods, such as predictive maintenance assisted by AI or process optimization by digital twin. As an Instrument Specialist - Wastewater Treatment, your mission will be to ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of the measurement and analysis systems of the WW facilities of the Canton, guaranteeing data quality, diagnosing malfunctions, optimizing processes with the operator, and maintaining active technological surveillance. Your energy at the service of a sustainable Geneva Within your scope, you will be responsible for: Ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and maintenance of the measurement and analysis systems of the WW facilities of the Canton; Contributing to the continuous improvement of measurement systems and associated processes; Guaranteeing the quality, reliability, and consistency of analyses and measurement tools, as well as monitoring and compiling data throughout the year; Diagnosing malfunctions and ensuring the link between analyses and operating results, in interaction with the operator to optimize settings and performance; Maintaining active technological surveillance in your area of expertise. Your personality and skills You demonstrate a good sense of responsibility, a synthesis spirit, and initiative, as well as availability and versatility. Your team spirit and communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with the various actors of the operation. You demonstrate a good ability to adapt to technical and organizational developments. You have very good knowledge of measurement devices and analytical monitoring of treatment plants. You are able to control and diagnose the quality of treatments and interact with the operator to modify and optimize settings. You stay informed about the evolution of measurement processes and new equipment. Your academic background You hold a Bachelor HES, a technician diploma in chemical engineering, a CFC laboratory technician (chemistry/physics) or an automated machine operator. You have more than 5 years of experience in instrumentation or plant operation, ideally in the field of water treatment. The possession of the certificate or federal patent of STEP FES operator is an asset. Joining SIG is participating in change!
