Locality Neuchâtel Availability Immediately Type Permanent Reference 41559 Published on 21/07/2026 Permanent position - 100% rate 3x8 shifts - from Monday to Friday Demanding industrial environment Mandated by one of our clients, we are looking for: Job description ### • Driving and maneuvering locomotives for the movement, positioning, and sorting of wagons on the internal railway network • Preparation of train sets: coupling and uncoupling, connection of air lines, and checking the proper hitching of wagons • Provision and removal of wagons on the loading and unloading tracks, as well as weighing or tare weighing according to needs • Carrying out routine checks of the locomotive, maintaining the logbook, and reporting any anomaly • Cleaning, refueling, and simple maintenance of the locomotive and railway equipment • Strict application of safety instructions and coordination of movements by radio with the teams present on site Advantages • Comprehensive training for the role and internal support, if necessary • A stable position offering good benefits and attractive employment conditions Profile ### • Professional experience in an industrial setting, in production, in logistics, or in a demanding work environment • Very good physical condition indispensable for performing sustained activity and working regularly in the field • Accustomed to constraining positions involving wearing PPE, shifted schedules, and difficult environmental conditions • Locomotive driver's license appreciated, but not indispensable: the necessary training will be provided by the company • Rigor, vigilance, good stress management, and ability to communicate clearly with teams Railway mechanic - training provided 3x8 / Permanent
