Counting nearly 1'200 employees, the Département de médecine aiguë (D-MA) includes the Services of clinical anesthesiology, pharmacology and toxicology, intensive care, and emergencies. It fulfills a quadruple mission through its services which provide expertise in frequent interaction with all the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, thanks to a transversal platform, with the objective of ensuring the best possible care for patients.
Job Description ##
Under the supervision of the physiotherapist in charge for the Département de médecine aiguë, you will join a team composed of 19 physiotherapists. Attached to the D-MA transversal unit, the physiotherapy team ensures care in different units of the department, with an activity extending from critical care to outpatient consultations for patient follow-up after hospitalization.
Your ability to adapt and your versatility allow you to ensure, in collaboration with your colleagues, coverage of the activity 24h/24, 7j/7.
You perform clinical assessments, develop and apply adapted physiotherapy treatments, and then evaluate the results. You also ensure rigorous documentation of patient files, including the interventions performed, clinical information, and the entry of services provided.
You engage in an interprofessional way of working, in close collaboration with all health professionals, intervening in complementarity with other professionals according to your field of activity.
You contribute to training programs related to your skills and your activity, and you may also be called upon to contribute to clinical research programs.
You have a proven taste for sharing your knowledge and clinical practice with health personnel and physiotherapists in training. Your sense of pedagogy allows you to accompany students in their training journey and develop their skills at the heart of care, through the supervisions you offer.
More broadly, physiotherapy activity at the HUG brings together approximately 180 professionals practicing in 6 sectors. You are joining a university hospital that notably has the vocation to train, and you can thus develop both technical and transversal skills in various areas of care.
Qualifications ##
You hold a Bachelor HES in physiotherapy or a physiotherapy diploma recognized and registered by the Swiss Red Cross as well as a right to practice in the canton of Geneva.
Ideally, you benefit from a certified specialization in the field of critical care physiotherapy. You keep your knowledge up to date through regular scientific reading and follow an EBP approach.
Experience and knowledge in the field of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy constitute an important asset.
You also have a good knowledge of the French language, with level C1 being required for non-French speakers.
Ease with IT tools (Office Suite) is necessary to successfully carry out this mission. Proficiency in HUG applications, notably DPI, is a plus.
You are capable of working autonomously while demonstrating team spirit. This allows you to evolve flexibly within a team, relying on an excellent sense of communication and a desire to evolve in your practices.
You have a sense of responsibility, a great capacity for organization, and a good aptitude for working in a multidisciplinary team. Your good resistance to stress is a real asset.
