BI Specialist (m/f/d)Nussbaumen

The BI Specialist is part of the -Corporate IT Reporting Systems- team at Liebherr, which is subordinate to the Group's financial management. The BI Specialist works closely with the employees of the finance team at the Liebherr headquarters to capture requirements and to create and maintain reports with actionable measures that serve performance monitoring and support decision-making in business-relevant matters. The ideal candidate thinks outside the box, is both proactive and a team player, and possesses sound knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server with a focus on business intelligence and financial reporting.

Tasks: ##

• Understanding the goals and key figures of the specialist departments and their implementation into meaningful reports
• Application of best practices in the management of datasets and in the creation of data visualizations
• Ensuring continuous availability as well as performing system updates and upgrades
• Maintenance and updating of the system documentation
• Responsibility for data security and high-performance data access control
• Conducting user-oriented training on the use and interpretation of reports
• Contact person for questions and support requests from end users
• Collaboration with the Liebherr BI community
• Identification of optimization potential and implementation of process improvements

Qualification: ##

• Several years of relevant professional experience in the development of BI reports
• Proven ability to elicit requirements and support specialist departments in defining their needs and requirements
• Ability to build and maintain positive and constructive working relationships and to work together with the team in a solution-oriented manner to address concerns
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Business Administration with corresponding professional experience as a BI Specialist
• Experience in the development and technical support of Microsoft Business Intelligence solutions with a focus on Power BI and SQL Server, including DAX and Power Query
• Sound knowledge in the data modeling environment for Business Intelligence, particularly in relational and dimensional data models, star schema architectures, as well as tabular models; experience with SSRS and other reporting tools is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working with the ability to independently analyze problems, identify causes, and develop sustainable solutions
• Experience in the area of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) reporting is an advantage
• Knowledge of the CPM software CCH Tagetik or comparable solutions is a plus
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing; German skills are an advantage, French skills are desirable
• Project management mindset with a structured and goal-oriented way of working
• Strong teamwork and willingness to cooperate combined with very good communication skills
