Your role and responsibilities

• Teach IGCSE Physics for Year 10 and Year 11 classes in English.
• If bilingual French profile: teach Physics for the Swiss Federal Maturity and/or MYP Sciences (Year 9) in French.
• Regularly evaluate student progress and communicate detailed reports to parents.
• Guarantee respect for the curriculum and ensure the academic progression of all students.
• Work in close collaboration with department colleagues to design pedagogical resources, assessments, and curriculum enrichment projects.

Skills and experience

• University degree and recognized teaching qualification for Sciences / Physics at IGCSE level.
• Proven experience working in collaboration with laboratory technicians and in integrating educational technologies in the classroom and laboratory.
• Excellent classroom management, organizational, and pedagogical skills.
• Remarkable interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents.

Linguistic skills

Perfect mastery of English, both spoken and written.

English-French bilingualism is a major asset (required for the optional teaching workload in the French-speaking stream)

Personal qualities

• Passionate commitment to the excellence and success of every student.
• Willingness to contribute to the department's enrichment activities (e.g., supervision of Extended Essays, field trips).
