4 positions for Out-of-Home Interveners in adult protection Social workers or social workers and mental health nurses Your mission The Office de protection de l'adulte (OPAd) executes the curatorship mandates entrusted by the Tribunal de protection de l'adulte et de l'enfant (TPAE), by ensuring the aid and protection required by individual situations, within the limits of the mandate and compliance with the legal framework. In order to meet the specific needs of the most vulnerable people and those most resistant to the support of curators, the OPAd is reinforcing its intervention system by setting up a unit composed of several out-of-home interveners in adult protection (IHMPA) coming from both the social work and mental health care fields. Intervening in pairs with people suffering notably from psychic disorders, addictions or living in highly degraded conditions, the IHMPA will have the mission to create, maintain or re-establish a link with the latter by ensuring home visits, in accommodation venues and with homeless people. Through their field intervention and their follow-up, they will be able to identify risks and advise appropriate support measures, while promoting collaboration with the socio-sanitary network. Concretely, the IHMPA will notably have the following tasks: accompany curators in complex situations presenting a high level of risk proceed to an assessment of situations taking into account all the elements at play and follow their evolution contribute to the assessment of risks for the person, their surroundings and the professionals ensure liaison with network partners, notably in the fields of psychiatry, mental health and addictology formulate proposals for adapted support and promote the use of the socio-sanitary system. Your profile - Particular skills characterizing the position The IHMPA must at all times adapt to complex situations presenting multiple issues and a high degree of unpredictability. Demonstrating great autonomy, they work in close collaboration with curators, as well as all the partners involved in the follow-up of the persons concerned. In an emotionally demanding context and subject to significant stress, they must be able to establish a relationship with people suffering from psychic disorders, addictions and highly precarious conditions, sometimes isolated, reluctant to help or care. Thanks to their experience in the field and their capacity for observation and analysis, they are a source of proposals for the implementation of adapted solutions capable of reducing risks. To their human qualities are added great rigor in the follow-up and transmission of information, a keen sense of responsibility and a capacity to synthesize essential elements in detailed reports. - Training For out-of-home social worker profiles: Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or a title deemed equivalent. For nurse profiles: Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing or a title deemed equivalent, with confirmed experience in mental health. The positions are aimed at experienced professionals who can justify a minimum of 3 years of practice in a field related to out-of-home intervention, social support or mental health.
